Parisian multidisciplinary artist Violeta West dreams up of surrealist colorful
landscapes, askew shapes and bodies.
This vision is reflected across her artworks and music productions.
Her works include several collaborations with the METEO crew,
notably her contribution to the “METEO DIC” project
(DIC is a cartoon production company); a remix of the opening theme of
“Les Minipouss”, an animated series from the 80s, in which she reinterpreted
the main melody with a different synthesizer, added percussive stabs,
and layered on choir vocals, renewing it into an heartening danceable song.
Original productions include “Tourne-Tête”, a drum-heavy club tool for getting
crowds heated up.
Her DJs sets delve into an ocean of dancefloor-ready catalogues, ranging from
UK Funky, to footwork, going through house, techno, grime, breakbeat, and jungle.
Violeta West has played in Geneva, Switzerland, and all corners of France including Nantes, Rennes, Paris, Bordeaux, and is now ready to take over the rest of the world.
